Love to take-over Disney’s role at SEI

Ian Love is to become regional head of institutional group at investment services outsourcer SEI after the retirement of Patrick Disney.

Love, who has been with SEI’s institutional group for 15 years, will be the institutional group’s head of Europe, Middle East, Africa (Emea) and Asia.

Disney will retire from SEI in March 2019 after almost 20 years with the company but will continue to serve in an advisory role and remain on the boards of SEI Investments Europe and SEI Investments South Africa.

Love has been at the forefront, SEI said, of driving the firm’s growth in fiduciary management and defined contribution master trust.

The firm has also appointed Charles Marandu as head of client strategy for Emea and Asia, reporting to Love. Marandu was already with SEI and takes over the role from Nigel Down, who is also to retire.

SEI provides investment processing, investment management, and investment operations solutions to various types of clients, and manages or administrates for $920 billion of assets, including the assets of companies the firm has a significant interest in.
