Swiss private bank Lombard Odier has appointed Franklin Templeton Investments to manage a European bond fund.
The PrivilEdge – Franklin Flexible Euro Aggregate Bond Fund is a pan-European strategy that makes use of the full spectrum of the European fixed income market including government bonds, investment-grade corporates and high yield corporates.
Most of the bonds in the portfolio are denominated in euros but the fund has the flexibility to invest in other European currencies.
David Zahn, Franklin Templeton’s London-based head of European fixed income, will manage the fund.
The fund has been registered for distribution in France, Germany, Spain, UK, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Belgium and the Netherlands.
