London firm Liontrust is investing in firms said to be transforming the future in areas such as de-carbonisation, digital security and healthy eating.
The GF Sustainable Global Growth strategy has been set up to meet demand for sustainable investment across continental Europe, according to the firm.
Managed by Simon Clement and Peter Michaelis, the investment process identifies structural trends shaping the global economy and invests in the best companies with products and operations that capitalise from them.
The fund joins two other sustainable funds in Liontrust’s Irish range – the GF SF Pan European Growth, and GF SF European Corporate Bond strategies.
Chief executive John Ions said: “There is growing demand for sustainable investing as an increasing number of people care about how they make their money as well as how much money they make.”
The firm – which recently acquired rival Neptune Investment Management – added to its sustainable investment team earlier in November with the appointment of Martyn Jones as fund manager.
