Liontrust adds to sustainable investment team

UK fund manager Liontrust – which recently acquired rival Neptune Investment Management – has  appointed Martyn Jones to the newly-created position of fund manager on its sustainable investment team.

Jones has worked with the team over the last five years. He was responsible for thematic analysis, stock picking and active ownership in the firm’s healthier foods, healthier lifestyles, and education themes.

He now joins head of the sustainable investment team Peter Michaelis, and fund manager Neil Brown, on the Liontrust Sustainable Future (SF) UK Growth, SF European Growth, GF SF Pan-European Growth and UK Ethical funds.

The team has £4.6 billion (€5.3 billion) in assets under management as of the end of September.

Neil Brown said: “Integrating environmental, social and governance factors into fundamental company analysis is detailed and complex work. Martyn’s deep understanding of this dynamic field has been a tremendous asset to the team for many years and we welcome him to fund management.”
