LGIM bolsters DC offering

Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has appointed Simon Chinnery to the newly created role of head of defined contribution (DC) client solutions.

Chinnery (pictured) most recently was head of UK DC at JP Morgan Asset Management and had spent over 12 years at the firm in various roles.

At LGIM, he will report to Chris DeMarco, head of institutional client management and strategy, and Emma Douglas, head of DC.

Overall, Chinnery has 30 years’ asset management industry experience in roles at ABN Amro, Schroder Investment Management and Gartmore Investment Management.

LGIM manages assets of £841.5 billion (€990.8 billion), as of June 30, 2016, which includes around £50 billion in DC assets.
