LGIM appoints head of UK retail sales

Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has named James Crossley as its new head of UK retail sales.

Crossley joins from Jupiter Asset Management where he was head of retail sales with responsibility for UK retail distribution and the firm’s retail sales team.

In his new role at LGIM Crossley will replace Simon Hynes following his recent move to the newly-created role of head of retail distribution for Emea.

Hynes, who has been at LGIM since 2015, will now focus on building the firm’s wholesale distribution capability across Europe and growing LGIM’s ETF business, following the acquisition of the Canvas ETF platform earlier this year.

Both Crossley and Hynes will report to Honor Solomon, LGIM’s head of retail for Emea, who said that Crossley would “be a great addition to LGIM as we continue to service our clients in areas where we are expanding our regional footprint.”
