The Royal Mencap Society, a UK charity for people with learning disabilities, has appointed the Amsterdam-headquartered asset manager Kempen as its fiduciary manager.
Mencap has assets of £120 million (€134 million) to provide pension benefits to its members.
The appointment follows a competitive tender process which got underway last year.
Johan Cras, Kempen’s managing director, said that the award of the mandate would reinforce the firm’s already strong relationship with the UK charity sector.
Kempen Capital Management is a specialist asset manager to pension funds and other long-term savings institutions across the UK and Europe and has more than £45 billion of assets under management.
