Kames Capital expands property team

A former Aberdeen Standard Investments property investment manager has joined Kames Capital.

Tom Richardson becomes an investment manager for Kames’ London-based indirect property team. The role is new and Kames said the appointment strengthened the team.

Richardson will be responsible for supporting the management of Kames Capital’s discretionary and advisory indirect property portfolios.

At Aberdeen Standard Investments, he had worked in the real estate multi-manager team and managed segregated and pooled portfolios.

Before that, he worked for Russell Investments and Cushman & Wakefield Investors.

Richardson reports to Mark Bunney, head of indirect property investment, who said: “We have known Tom for many years and are confident that he will be an excellent addition to our team as we grow our institutional client-base.”
