JP Morgan Asset Management boosts insurance team

JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has become the latest investment firm to bolster its insurance asset management capability with a series of hires to its insurance team.

Mark Oldcorn, formerly of Deutsche Börse, has been appointed head of international insurance solutions.

Oldcorn was group relationship manager responsible for Deutsche Börse’s global insurance and asset management clients. 

JPMAM has also appointed Charles Matterson, formerly of Schroders, as head of UK insurance solutions. At Schroders, Matterson spent spent nine years as a client director for UK and US insurance investors.

A third hire is Jinglun Yao who becomes an associate in the institutional strategy and analytics team.  Yao was an intern at JPMorgan and has also worked at Societe Generale.

All three positions are in London and are the latest sign of growing interest by asset managers in providing services to insurance firms.
