JP Morgan AM appoints Switzerland head

JP Morgan Asset Management has appointed Claude Kurzo as country head for Switzerland.

Kurzo will relocate back to Zurich from New York, where he was global head of strategy and business transformation and was a member of the firm’s global asset management operating committee.

In his new role Kurzo will be responsible for growing Switzerland’s fund business and strengthening client relationships.

He will also assess business opportunities in the Middle East and Africa for the funds business of JP Morgan AM.

Earlier in his career Kurzo worked as a management consultant with McKinsey & Co in Zurich.

He will now report to London-based Massimo Greco, JP Morgan AM head of Emea Funds.

“Switzerland is a strategically important market for us and we continue to invest in deepening and expanding our presence,” said Greco.

“Claude’s appointment underscores the calibre of global talent and leadership that we’re dedicating to further enhancing our local client service.”

Kurzo succeeds Patrick Beuret who decided to leave the firm.
