Investec AM creates adviser partnerships role

Investec Asset Management has appointed Alasdair Prescott (pictured) as head of UK adviser and strategic partnerships.

The position is newly created and the firms’ UK adviser business has 18 people.

The new role brings together Investec AM’s regional sales and strategic partnerships teams, the firm said.

Prescott joins from Aviva where he was head of London wholesale sales, and previously spent over six years at JP Morgan Asset Management managing relationships with UK discretionary.

Rodger Kennedy, currently a sales director at Investec AM, has been appointed head of London wealth and both Prescott and Kennedy will report directly to David Aird, managing director of the UK client group.
