Intertrust hires next global funds head from Citigroup

Intertrust, a fund administration firm based in Holland, has appointed Patrick O’Brien as global head of funds.

Joining from Citigroup, O’Brien has over 27 years’ experience in financial services, working on private equity, real estate and Ucits funds, including exchange-traded funds.

Prior to Citigroup, O’Brien spent eight years at JP Morgan where he had several roles, including global head of funds services, client strategy.

He takes over from Paul Lawrence, who was with the firm since 2008, and will report to chief commercial officer Ian Lynch, a former BNP Paribas executive who was also recently appointed at Intertrust.

Intertrust’s chief executive Stephanie Miller said clients were looking to address administrative and regulatory challenges through cutting-edge technology and specialist expertise.
