Swiss asset manager GAM Investments has hired Markus Heider as investment manager to its London-based fixed income team.
Heider joins from Deutsche Bank’s London office, where he was global head of inflation research.
He began his career at Deutsche Bank in 2000, before moving into various inflation and interest rate strategy roles.
Heider holds a doctoral degree in economics from the University of Bordeaux and is the author of a monograph on inflation markets.
Paul McNamara, GAM investment director, said: “Markus will be a key addition to our team, which manages client assets employing a conviction-based investment approach driven by macroeconomic impacts on emerging markets.”
