FundRock, a provider of outsourced ‘ManCos’ to Ucits and alternative funds, has appointed Enda Fahy to head up its illiquid alternatives function in Luxembourg.
The position is newly created as FundRock seeks to build its current alternatives business to cover illiquid assets.
‘ManCos’ is the industry shorthand for management companies, which fund management firms in many circumstances are required to set up – either internally or through a provider – as part of Europe’s fund governance regime.
Fahy will also act as conducting officer for alternative investments at FundRock.
Fahy was previously based in London for ten years heading up the Cosgrave Group family office business. He also worked at State Street Luxembourg and in a senior role at Lidl Ireland.
The creation of an illiquids business is part of FundRock’s five-year growth plan, which has also seen the firm expand in Ireland.
