French scheme ERAFP to measure portfolio climate risk

The French public service additional pension scheme (ERAFP) has appointed third-party analysts to measure the exposure of its equity and bond portfolios to climate change risk.

The firms with the three-year mandates are Trucost, I Care & Consult, Grizzly RI and Beyond Ratings.

ERAFP has also appointed Carbone 4 to help design a methodology to measure, analyse and evaluate exposure to climate change-related challenges in its real estate, infrastructure and private equity portfolios.

ERAFP has over €26 billion in assets and is a full socially responsible investment institutional investor. It was set up in 2005 and has over 4.5 million beneficiaries.

The scheme recently made a €350 million investment in private equity and infrastructure across Europe.
