Franklin Templeton hires ETF sales head for Emea

California-based investment manager Franklin Templeton Investments has appointed Caroline Baron as head of ETF Sales for Europe Middle East and Africa (Emea).

She joins from Invesco PowerShares where she was head of UK distribution and focused on smart beta strategies.

Based in London, in the newly created role Baron is responsible for generating and retaining assets in the Franklin LibertyShares product suite. She will work with the Franklin Templeton global and European ETF team as well as directly engaging with ETF investors.

Baron will support Franklin Templeton’s global ETF rollout across Europe and report to Vivek Kudva, managing director, Emea and India.

Patrick O’Connor, head of global ETFs, said the appointment demonstrated the firm’s commitment to building its ETF offering across Europe.

He added: “As ETFs continue to grow in popularity and importance, we plan to broaden our capabilities in the region.”
