Frank Thormann leaves Union for Schroders

Schroders has expanded its global equities team and hired Frank Thormann as portfolio manager.

Thormann joined Schroders from Frankfurt-based Union Investment where he was a global portfolio manager.

He reports to Alex Tedder, who joined Schroders in August 2014 from American Century, and is now head of global equities.

Tedder said that Thormann had a proven track record founded on an intimate knowledge of the US equity market, a significant constituent of Schroder’s global equity portfolios.

He added: “Thormann is a genuine stock-picker with an investment approach that is entirely complementary to that of the team.”
