Former Barings distribution head joins Insight

London-based investment management firm, Insight Investment, has appointed Angus Woolhouse as global head of distribution.

Woolhouse, who was most recently global head of distribution at Barings Asset Management, takes over the role from Philip Anker.

Abdallah Nauphal, chief executive of Insight Investment, said: “Angus joins Insight during a period of sustained growth and strong global ambition. Throughout his career Angus has built a wealth of experience within asset management in a variety of key industry roles.”

Insight recently made two other senior appointments in UK distribution. Andrew Reid, an actuary, joined in June as head of business development for the UK and Ireland.

Lennox Hartman, global head of fixed income manager research at Aon, will join Insight in August as head of Europe, Middle East and Africa consultant relations.

Founded in 2002, Insight is owned by BNY Mellon and had £547 billion (€609 billion) of assets under management at March 31, 2017.
