Euroclear makes appointment to CSD boards

Euroclear has appointed Willem Meijer to join the board of directors for Euroclear Belgium, Euroclear France and Euroclear Nederland, its ESES central securities depositories (CSDs). The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

The former Deutsche Bank and JPMorgan senior banker joins from The Order Machine, an options trading platform, where he was previously chief executive officer.

He also serves as an appointed director and mediator for the enterprise division of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal, as well as being involved in a number of fintech ventures.

The Euroclear Settlement of Euronext-Zone Securities (ESES) CSDs, which are located in Brussels, Paris and Amsterdam, operate from a single settlement platform and are designed to provide harmonised settlement processes across these markets.
