Euroclear appoints former SocGen information officer

Euroclear has appointed a chief information officer, a new role that is part of an ongoing technology drive that has included working with fintech firms.

Yves Dupuy joins from Societe Generale where he was most recently a regional chief information officer for global banking and investor solutions.

The role of chief information officer for the Brussels-based market infrastructure provider includes working with technology vendors and creating greater efficiencies for the organisation.

Euroclear provides post-trade services for a range of instruments and last year settled the equivalent of €655 trillion in securities transactions.

Dupuy also joins Euroclear’s group executive committee and reports to Lieve Mostrey, CEO.

Mostrey said: “The role of CIO [chief information officer] is pivotal to our company as we continue to deliver innovative products, solutions and services for clients.”
