Equity ETFs on the up in February

A total of €40.9 billion flowed into global exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in February with strong inflows into US and socially responsible investment (SRI) equity funds.

According to a monthly flow report from Amundi, demand for emerging markets exposures in February continued, both for equities and fixed income funds.

The report found that, globally, €11.3 billion flowed into North American equity ETFs, €6.3 billion into emerging market equity ETFs and €1.1 billion into SRI equity funds.

In the European market, €8.4 billion went into equity ETFs, with particularly strong inflows into US equities.

While redemptions on European equities accelerated, inflows into SRI Europe equities surged last month.
