The board of directors of Six Group, which operates the Swiss stock exchange, has appointed Daniel Schmucki as its chief financial officer (CFO) and member of its group executive board.

Schmucki, who takes up the role on April 1 next year, will continue his role as CFO and deputy chief executive officer at Flughafen Zürich (Zurich airport) until the end of March, 2017.

He has been responsible for fee management, information and communication technology, risk and compliance management, central procurement as well as M&A. He was named “Switzerland’s CFO of the year” in 2013.
