Currency manager Record opens Swiss office

Record Currency Management, which specialises in currency investment management, has opened its first office in Switzerland, where Swiss investors have faced challenges from their domestic currency in recent years.

The Zurich office will be led by Dr. Jan Witte, who has re-located from Record’s UK head office.

Witte said: “Swiss investors face some unique challenges and opportunities in managing currency, owing to the negative interest rate environment, the past behaviour of the Swiss franc, and the large proportion of their investments held internationally.”

In January 2015, the Swiss National Bank unpegged the Swiss franc from the euro.

James Wood-Collins, Record’s CEO said Switzerland was already a core market for Record’s currency management services.

Record, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange, provides specialist currency management and currency hedging services for institutional clients.
