Christopher Godding has been appointed chief investment officer at wealth manager Tilney, subject to regulatory approval.
He replaces Gareth Lewis who is taking up a managing director role at Tilney covering investment strategy and focusing on new business development and “high value” clients.
Godding joins Tilney from Rubicon Fund Management, where he was a partner and spent 13 months. Before that he was CIO and head of global equity at Signia Wealth, and has also spent nine years at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in London, most recently as CIO.
At Tilney, which managers £21 billion (€24.5 billion) for clients, Godding will lead the group’s asset allocation process and central investment teams.
