CFA Institute appoints director of financial reporting policy

CFA Institute, the global association of investment management professionals, has appointed Kazim Razvi as director of financial reporting policy for the Emea region.

Based in London, Razvi will work closely with standard setters, regulators and policymakers to advance CFA Institute policy positions with a primary focus on financial and corporate reporting.

Razvi previously worked at Fitch Ratings and at Moody’s. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young working in its banking and capital markets division, and is currently a member of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) Pension Plans Advisory Panel.

“Kazim brings a great depth of technical expertise in the critical field of financial reporting”, said Gary Baker, CFA managing director for Emea.

“An integral part of the work of CFA Institute is to develop and administer codes, best practice guidelines, and standards that guide the investment industry and help ensure all investment professionals are appropriately supported through policies and standards as they pertain to the investment decision-making process.”
