Carmignac appoints Italy head

Paris-based asset manager Carmignac has appointed Fabio Zoccoletti to head up its business in Italy, as a replacement to Giorgio Ventura who was promoted to global head of sales last April.

Zoccoletti has extensive experience of the Italian banking industry, having started his career in 1995 in the retail and finance division of Banca del Salento.

He subsequently worked at Monte dei Paschi di Siena, Banca Popolare di Vicenza and Intesa SanPaolo Group.

Ventura said: “Fabio’s vast expertise in the wealth management sector and investment advisory services makes him the ideal candidate to lead our business development in Italy, given his deep knowledge of the domestic market, and understanding of our long-term business model.”
