BNP Paribas hires head of UK institutional sales

BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has hired Philip Dawes as head of institutional sales for the UK & Ireland.

He joined on 20 November and is based in London, reporting to Charles Janssen, head of institutional sales for Europe.

In the newly created role, Dawes is responsible for developing BNPP AM‘s business across UK institutional clients including insurers and pension funds, as well as contributing to the development of BNPP AM’s UK product strategy.

Dawes joins from Allianz Global Investors where he worked in a variety of roles including head of UK institutional business, with responsibility for all aspects of sales, marketing and client servicing for UK-based defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes and insurance clients.

Charles Janssen, head of institutional sales for Europe at BNPP AM, said Dawes’ experience would be invaluable as it expanded its offering and capabilities within the UK market.
