BNP Paribas AM expands quant team

BNP Paribas Asset Management has bolstered the team that manages multi-asset and quantitative investments, saying quant had seen strong interest from investors.

The firm has hired Grégory Taïeb as an investment specialist in the multi-asset, quantitative and solutions (MAQS) group. The role is newly-created.

Based in Paris, Taïeb will work internationally to promote BNP Paribas AM’s quantitative products, explaining to clients how environmental, social and governance criteria are integrated into the asset manager’s quantitative processes.

Taïeb joins from Robeco, where he focussed on quantitative management for nearly two years, and will report to Jean-Philippe Olivier, head of the investment specialists team.

Etienne Vincent, BNP Paribas AM’s global head of quantitative management, said the firm’s quantitative capability has “generated strong interest from investors for several years, as demonstrated by the growth in assets under management to €12 billion”.
