BMO Global Asset Management (BMO GAM) has launched three sustainable multi-asset funds with varying risk profiles.
The actively managed strategies form part of the firm’s low-cost Universal Multi-Asset Portfolios (Map) range and will be managed by the multi-asset team led by Paul Niven, with Simon Holmes as lead manager on the sustainable range.
The investment approach avoids assets with unsustainable practices, according to BMO GAM. The investment team will also manage environmental, social and governance issues through engagement and voting.
Rob Thorpe, regional head of intermediary distribution, said: “Our Universal Map range responds to a gap in the market, bringing low-cost, active solutions to cost-focused advisers and clients. We’ve seen significant demand for the funds, since launch two years ago. Extending the range to include sustainable solutions was a natural next step.”
The strategies are the BMO Sustainable Universal MAP Cautious, BMO Sustainable Universal MAP Balanced, and BMO Sustainable Universal MAP Growth. All funds are in the Investment Association’s Volatility Managed sector.
