BMO GAM hires emerging markets fixed income specialist

BMO Global Asset Management (BMO GAM) has hired Cristiana de Alessia as portfolio manager for the global rates team. Alessia will focus on local fixed income across emerging markets.

Reporting to global head of unconstrained fixed income Keith Patton, she is responsible for investment decisions related to emerging markets interest rates, currencies, and global macro-economic factors.

Emerging markets have become an increasingly important part of the global economy and, as such, are an important element of our global portfolios,” Patton said.

According to BMO GAM, Alessia is an emerging market fixed income specialist. Indeed, she has over 15 years’ experience covering the asset class.

Before joining BMO GAM, she analysed emerging market local fixed income strategies at BNP Paribas Asset Management.
