French asset manager Axiom Alternative Investments has appointed Laurent Henrio as portfolio anager and Antonio Roman as research analyst to the firm’s London office.
Henrio, who has worked in credit trading for 16 years, joins Axiom from Société Générale, which he joined in 2011 as an exotic credit and credit default swap trader before being named global head of credit trading activities in early 2017.
He began his career at Icmos Pangea Global Hedge Fund as a quantitative analyst in the emerging credit trading department, before moving to JPMorgan Chase in 2003 as vice-president of structuring and pricing of credit derivatives.
In his newly-created role at Axiom, Henrio will be responsible for managing the Axiom Synthetic Credit Opportunity Fund, which is expected to launch in the new year.
Roman, meanwhile, started his career at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in 2016 and has also worked as a quantitative analyst at JP Morgan Asset Management,
In his newly-created role at Axiom Roman will be responsible for developing quantitative models under Solvency II and Basel III.
