Aviva appoints head of global product strategy

Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva Plc, has appointed Steven Blackie as head of global product strategy.

In the London-based role Blackie will work on product strategy and across the investment specialist and request for proposal teams.

Blackie previously worked as an investment consultant for 15 years and prior to that as an equity fund manager.

He joins Aviva Investors after spending 10 years at Mercer, where he most recently held the position of chief investment officer for the UK.

 Blackie will report to global head of client solutions Louise Kay who said: “As we expand our distribution efforts globally, it is imperative that client needs continue to drive our product strategy.

“Steven’s expertise in understanding and advising clients with complex needs, as well as considerable team management experience, make him ideally qualified to lead the product strategy team.”

Aviva Investors currently manages over £350 billion (€402 billion) in assets. Total group assets under management at Aviva group are £490 billion.
