Artisan Partners launches thematic Ucits fund

Milwaukee-based investment house Artisan Partners has launched a thematic Ireland-domiciled Ucits fund.

The fund is managed by Christopher Smith, portfolio manager of the Artisan Thematic strategy which launched in May 2017.

Said Smith: “We believe the combination of a top-down thematic framework and bottom-up analysis with a keen focus on risk management, positions the portfolio to deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns over the long term.”

As of end November, 18% of Artisan Partners’ $105.4 billion (€92.7 billion) of assets under management was sourced from clients outside the US, including $4billion in its Ucits funds domiciled in Ireland.
