Aquila Capital acquires Danish wind farm

Aquila Capital, an alternative investment manager, has completed the second acquisition of a wind farm in Denmark through its European renewables income fund.

The deal, worth €25.3 million, sees the fund manager gain full ownership of Svindbaek Vindkraft HoldCo ApS.

It marks Aquila Capital’s second acquisition in Denmark, and fifth across Europe following its listing on the London Stock Exchange in June this year.

Svindbaek is an onshore wind farm located on the west coast of the country, and operates with an installed capacity of 22.4 megawatts.

According to Aquila Capital, the wind farm should help save around 460,000 tons of CO2 emissions over its projected lifetime.
