Aquila appoints head of consultant relations

Hamburg-based asset management firm Aquila Capital has appointed Ian Williams to the post of head of consultant relations.

In the newly-created role, Williams will be responsible for strategic engagement with consultants, the strengthening of the firm’s institutional business and the implementation of environmental, social and governance policies (ESG).

Williams will be based out of Aquila’s London office. He joins Aquila after eleven years at BNY Mellon’s London offices where his most recent post was head of consultant relations.

Roman Rosslenbroich, chief executive of Aquila Capital, said: “I am convinced that Ian’s role as our representative for ESG principles will enhance our ability to promote social responsibility and sustainable thinking at each level of the firm and externally.”

Founded in 2001, Aquila had assets under management of over €6.1 billion at the end of 2016 and has eight offices in Europe as well an office in Singapore.
