Amundi expands ETF thematic range

Europe’s largest asset manager Amundi has launched two thematic exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

The Smart City Ucits ETF will invest in new so-called ‘smart’ technologies which aim to help cities address the challenges of urbanisation by increasing efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.

The fund will invest in public infrastructure, smart homes, e-commerce, healthcare, entertainment, and technology.

The Smart Factory Ucits ETF will invest in innovative and disruptive technologies involved in manufacturing. The fund will invest in advanced robotics, cloud computing & big data, cyber security, augmented reality & 3D printing and the Internet of Things.

Both ETFs track indices from Solactive and have been listed on Euronext Paris and Euronext Amsterdam with ongoing charges of 0.35%.

Fannie Wurtz, head of indexing & smart beta at Amundi ETF, said: “With our Artificial Intelligence ETF, and now these new Smart City and Smart Factory ETFs, we can help investors to capitalise on three of the major themes that are shaping our future.
