AllianceBernstein expands Nordics distribution team

New York-based funds giant AllianceBernstein has appointed Patrik Silfverling as managing director of sales in the Nordic region.

In his new Stockholm-based role Silfverling will work alongside AllianceBernstein’s existing Nordics sales managing director Steen Jorgensen, with the aim of expanding the firm’s retail and institutional business across Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Iceland.

Silfverling brings over two decades of asset management experience, most recently at Oppenheimer Funds where he was responsible for both retail and institutional clients across the Nordics region.

Before that he spent nearly 13 years at Franklin Templeton Investments as director for the Nordic region.

“The Nordic Region is a key market in Emea with a sophisticated client base and a growing interest across a wide range of products and solutions,” said Jamie Hammond, Emea regional chief executive.

“With an expanded Nordic team, AB is well placed to provide a better locally tailored service to both retail and institutional clients.”
