Neuberger Berman has added to its emerging market Ucits fund range with another fixed income product.
The Emerging Market Debt Blend Fund is a sub-fund of Neuberger Berman Investment Funds PLC, Neuberger’s Irish-domiciled Ucits umbrella.
Neuberger Berman, which is based in the US, says the strategy was introduced “following the success of the US regulated version of the same strategy”, launched in September 2013.
It gives investors direct exposure to the underlying securities, which the firm says allows for a “more dynamic and alpha-driven solution versus the traditional fund-of-fund approach”.
Neuberger launched emerging market debt hard currency, local currency and corporate debt funds in July 2013 and a short duration emerging market debt fund in December 2013.
The lead managers of the fund are Rob Drijkoningen and Gorky Urquieta, co-heads of the firm’s emerging market debt team.
With the introduction of the Emerging Market Debt Blend fund, Neuberger Berman’s Ucits fund platform now consists of 21 funds ranging across the global asset class spectrum with over $18 billion (€13 billion) in assets under management.
