Natixis Asset Management has appointed Nuno Teixeira as head of institutional & retail solutions.
Teixeira will manage Natixis’ multi-asset investment team, a ten-strong division managing portfolios and solutions on behalf of institutions and financial networks worldwide. He will report to Franck Nicolas, head of the firm’s investment & client solutions group.
Previously, Teixeira has held a number of roles in major asset management firms, in a career spanning almost 30 years. Most recently, he was country head and head of business development in Schroders’ French office, roles he held for almost 12 years. Previously, he was head of the multi-management fund of funds team at Invesco France, managing portfolios with a total asset size of €2.5 billion.
He replaces Michael Aflalo, who left the firm last September to join BFT Investment Managers.
Natixis has experienced some turbulence in the first half of this year, with chief executive Pascal Voisin abruptly announcing his resignation to staff via email in March. He was promptly replaced by Matthieu Duncan, who was poached from Quilter Cheviot Investment Management.
Natixis manages assets of $884.9 billion (€776.4 billion) as of March 31 2016.
