Mercer increases real estate coverage

Mercer Investment Consulting has expanded its real estate arm with a new hire of a senior researcher.

The firm has hired Matthew Abbott to the role within its real estate “boutique”.

Abbott began his career with Hewitt, Bacon & Woodrow in 2003 after completing a BSc in Mathematics & Statistics from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

His main areas of expertise are real estate manager research, strategy and consulting – primarily focused on UK and European markets.

Paul Richards, European head of Mercer’s real estate boutique, said the appointment demonstrates Mercer’s “commitment to further develop its specialist real estate consulting services in Europe”.
