BT appoints Eileen Haughey as new chief

The BT Pension Scheme, one of the largest UK pension funds with £38 billion (€44.5 billion) of assets, has appointed Eileen Haughey as chief executive officer.

Haughey, formerly chief executive of the trustee’s secretariat and support function at the pension scheme of chemical company ICI, takes up the role in summer.

She has also been a partner at Deloitte, the accountancy firm, and was head of corporate finance at Marks & Spencer plc for more than five years.

The BT scheme serves 320,000 employees and former employees of British Telecom.
