2013 Ucits sales rise

Net sales of Ucits funds excluding money market funds, were €31 billion in December compared to €21 billion in November, the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) reports this week.

Net sales of equity funds totalled €20 billion, up from €10 billion in November.

Balanced funds recorded a rise in net sales to €13 billion, up from €8 billion in November, while net sales of bond funds returned to negative territory in December with net outflows of €6 billion compared to net inflows of €6 billion in the previous month. 

In 2013, net sales of Ucits funds, excluding money market, totalled €320 billion, compared to €231 billion in 2012.
