“Largest ever” ETP inflows

Inflows for the first half of 2012 were the largest ever for the global exchange-traded product (ETP) Industry with net new assets of more than $100 billion (€79.5 billion).

There was particularly strong demand for income-producing assets, according to BlackRock’s latest ‘ETP Landscape Report’.

Investment grade corporate bond ETPs saw inflows of $15.5 billion.

The global ETP industry now stands at $1.68 trillion, and its inflows of $105.0 billion during H1 represented a 16% increase on the $90.6 billion of flows posted during H1 2011.
