JPMAM hires Lummert as head of insurance advisory

JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) has appointed Stefan Lummert to the newly created role of head of insurance advisory, Germany and Austria, within its global insurance solutions team.

Lummert joins from NN Investment Partners, where he was head of insurance asset management for Germany.

Prior to this, he spent 11 years with Allianz Investment Management, variously working as head of investment management for Allianz Versicherungs-AG and head of investment steering.

In the new role, Lummert will work alongside the Frankfurt-based institutional team with responsibility for developing and maintaining relationships with insurance companies in Germany and Austria.

James Peagam, head of global insurance solutions, says: “This appointment further supports our growth in the sector and underlines our commitment to the industry, recognising the importance of insurers as distinct investors in global markets.”

JPMAM’s global insurance solutions business had assets under management of $78.8 billion (€69.6 billion) at year-end, 2014.
