Isle of Man to promote finance sector

The Isle of Man Government is launching a hybrid public-private organisation called The Isle of Man Finance Partnership to promote the financial services industry.

The new organisation will visit business centres in the Middle East, China and the UK in the next two years to promote the scheme, while a strategic body of industry representatives is instigated to help provide the required business focus.

Colin Kniveton, chief executive of the Department of Economic Development, said: “This change combined with other developments put in place during the past twelve months means we are putting together a structure which puts business at the heart of the Island’s future.

“We have a fantastic story to tell and that needs to be supported with the right resources and in the right international market places working hand in hand with the private sector.”
