ING Investment Management opened a business development office in London last week
The London sales team will focus on growing the asset manager’s institutional and third-party business in the UK.
Matthias Schellenberg, head of business development Europe, said the firm is especially suited to offering yield-hungry UK clients its emerging markets debt, senior loans, high yield and high dividend and European opportunities products.
The expansion sees the appointment of Paul Waters, who has previously worked at AIG Investments and Aviva Investors, as director of UK institutional, and Peter Wilson, who has previously worked at Invista Real Estate Management and Ivey Cox Consulting. They report to Deepti Bhandoola, UK country manager.
The opening brings ING Investment Management’s total number of offices across Europe to 16.
