IMA’s Julie Patterson to join Charles Muller at KPMG

The Investment Management Association’s (IMA) Julie Patterson will join Charles Muller at the European investment management practice at KPMG as a director.

Patterson, who spent 15 years at the UK association, was most recently regulatory affairs director for investment funds and retail at the UK association.

At KPMG, Patterson, who will join at the end of summer, will be covering the investment management sector.

Muller, now a partner, joined KPMG at the end of 2011 from the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry. He had spent more than eight years at the association, most recently as deputy director general.

Tom Brown, global head of investment management at KPMG, says his clients are entering the implementation stage of the regulatory journey, adding that there is a further drive across Europe toward greater investment and product protection.

The IMA says it will make an appointment in due course.
