Nuveen expands energy infrastructure credit team

Asset manager Nuveen has hired five financing professionals in its energy infrastructure credit business asset team to bolster its expertise in energy and power asset funding.

Lena Doan has joined as managing director, bringing extensive experience from her previous role at HPS Investment Partners, where she specialised in private credit and special situations investments within the energy sector. Jeff Hostettler, also a new managing director, boasts over 15 years in private credit and structured equity transactions, most recently with HPS Investment Partners.

Institutional investors target energy transition sector

Eliot Javanmardi, another managing director addition, contributes nearly two decades of investment and energy industry operations experience. He previously led HPS Investment Partners’ Houston office and focused on energy investments since 2015. Malcolm Bean came on board as an associate, supporting EIC investment strategies. He has a  background in energy trading and holds multiple degrees from MIT and Stanford.

Luke Schaefer, the new analyst, will focus on sustainable infrastructure and energy security investments. His prior experience includes supporting Koch Industries’ commodity production and trading business.

European stocks record a two-month high on financial and energy boost

The platform is led by Don Dimitrievich, portfolio manager, head of energy infrastructure credit and the new hires join Julie Findlay (managing director), Sarah O’Malley (managing director), Tom Pollack (vice president), Rodrigo Duluc (Associate) and Adam Ren (associate).

Dimitrievich commented: “By enhancing the capabilities within our experienced team of energy and power credit specialists, we can better leverage our expertise across the entire energy and power ecosystem to secure funding solutions for energy and power infrastructure assets while ensuring a stable energy supply.”
