Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management has recruited Annelie Fearon to its convertible bond team, as senior portfolio manager.
Fearon has 17 years experience in the financial sector, 13 of which were focused on the development of convertible bond strategies. From 2009 to 2015, she was a portfolio manager and head of convertible bond research at Cheyne Capital Management.
She joins Alina Epifantseva and Thibaut Bailly on the team, who all report to Laurent le Grin, head of the convertible bond department. In total, the group runs €1.2 billion in European convertibles, and €700 million in international convertibles.
Last year, Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management scooped Daniel Lee from Allianz Global Investors to head up its UK wholesale operations. In February this year, the French firm made its first foray into the market, registering 20 funds for sale in the UK.
The funds include the €1.1 billion Europe Synergy fund, €1.2 billion US Value & Yield fund, the €900 million Europe Convertibles fund and €310 million Global Convertibles fund.
Overall, the firm manages assets of around €52 billion.
