Janus completes Europe line-up with Justice

Chris.JusticeJanus Capital International has appointed Chris Justice as chief operating officer and head of Europe in a move cementing the firm’s plans to expand outside of the US.

In the newly created role, Justice will develop the firm’s business strategy in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (Emea) and the appointment is described as the latest move in the firm’s long-term pivot away from North America towards the Emea region.

In 2014, Janus hired Myron Scholes, co-creator of the Black-Scholes options pricing model, and Bill Gross, former head of Pimco, to assist with the transition.

Justice joined Janus in 2013 and has served as head of strategic initiatives for Asia Pacific in the firm’s Hong Kong office. He will relocate to London.

Prior to joining Janus, Justice was managing director of Quam, where he led a team of research analysts and asset managers providing non-discretionary portfolio advice to high-net-worth and retail investors.

Janus Capital International manages assets of around €38.5 billion.
